Announcing… Australia’s first ever Virtual Business Expo!
A Sydney business woman has established Australia’s first known Virtual Expo, showcasing Australian owned and operated businesses.
Just what is a ‘Virtual Expo’? It’s very similar to a physical expo with a venue and exhibitors; each exhibitor has a booth where they display their products and services. The unique Australian Expo is just the same except that it’s all online – over the Internet. Online expo exhibitors have a webpage as their booth, where they display their products and services and offer samples, specials, competitions, downloadable gifts and discounts. In addition, there is an online forum where visitors are invited to interact with the exhibitors and ask questions.
The numerous advantages of the online expo for both visitors and exhibitors are undeniable, including:
- the expo operates for 365 days a year, rather than the typical one – three days of physical expos
- because the cost of running an online expo is much less expensive for organisers, these savings are passed on to exhibitors making it affordable, even for small solo-operated businesses
- the cost-savings are also passed on to visitors, with the online expo being free to attend
- visitors can browse the booths at a time that suits them – 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- you can visit a booth as many times as you like
- exhibitors can change their booth and offers as often as they like
- no hassle or expense travelling to the expo venue
- no bustling crowds to deal with
Imagine being able to browse the exhibitors’ booths, view Australia’s newest products, services and equipment and access exclusive interviews with industry experts and innovators, all in the comfort of your own home while enjoying a nice, hot cuppa.
Australian Expo was launched on November 5th, 2007 and presents a broad range of exhibitors including business groups, a veterinary surgery, service providers and retailers. All of these exhibitors are trusted sellers and service providers. Exhibitor booths are still available and provide an ideal opportunity for retailers to boost sales.
One of the Australian Expo exhibitors is Jacaranda Business Support Services, a company that provides writing, editing and small business support and guidance. Managing Owner, Donna-Marie Coggins, is delighted to be a part of this unique expo. “We liaise with most of our clients via the Internet and emails, providing a ‘Virtual’ service, so it makes perfect sense for us to be able to showcase our business ‘virtually’ too,” says Donna-Marie. She adds, “Not only are our clients from across Australia able visit our booth and chat in the online forum, but also the cost is so much more affordable for us than most trade shows.”
The online expo is the brainchild of Michele Elmas who operates two of her own online businesses, Squish Clothes for Kids and MPPi Business Network. Michele welcomes the opportunity to share her information and expertise with your readers/listeners/viewers and is readily available for an interview.
